Ines de La Fressange Collaborates with Uniqlo
Ines de La Fressange, a former Chanel model and designer Karl Lagerfeld's muse, has been busy collaborating with Uniqlo on a new collection. The line designed in collaboration with French model turned-writer, Ines, oozes Parisian chic and is available to buy in stores this month.
Designed with real women in mind, the collection takes subtle details from the height of the waistline to the opening of the neckline into consideration. The result is pieces that are less fashion forward and more style conscious.
On the collaboration La Fressange said, “I often go to UNIQLO during my lunch break to get a little respite from work, and end up buying something as a reward for myself. Usually, it is something reasonable that gives me bit of happiness. The joy that comes from easily finding something of high quality with a nice design, and making it yours is indescribable. I think that this is one of the purposes of clothing and fashion."
Ditching the trends, Ines and Uniqlo have chosen to create a line entrenched in femininity and irreverence. It includes chic draped dresses and flattering wrap-around shapes, sheer knitwear and soft, chiffon blouses. Cropped trousers and fine shirts also feature in the French infused collection for Spring / Summer 2014. Wear with ballet pumps for an insouciant and elegant style.
