Regent Street's luxury perfumers Penhaligon’s this week announced their new fragrance, 'Tralala' has been inspired by the fantastical universe of Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff. Having fragranced the design duo's London Fashion Week shows for the past nine seasons, Penhaligon's is proud to present a fragrance conceived with the designers in mind.
“We do not have a signature but rather a handwriting. We like to tell stories in different ways,” say Meadham Kirchhoff of their way of working. In the past, the designers themselves have chosen a diverse selection of scents to represent their zany collections, including Hammam Bouquet, Bluebell, Castile, English Fern and Cornubia. A fragrance collaboration was inevitable. Created by Master Perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, Tralala is an 'opulent, hedonistic' blend.
To create the perfume, Bertrand immersed himself in the designers' East London studio to get a real feel for the fashion designers and their brand. The result is Tralala: a saffron, green violet, tuberose and ylang ylang sensation, reflecting the glamour and retrospection of the Meadham Kirchhoff label. It's a brilliant addition to any Meadham Kirchhoff ensemble, a perfect accessory to your counter-culture couture look.
