Who would believe that tucked away in Heddon Street, right in the heart of the city, is a little taste of Morocco? And we don’t just mean the food…
Momo, one of the coolest spots in town for those ‘in the know’, offers an authentic Moroccan experience that’s a teensy bit cheaper than your average plane ticket.
Founded by Parisian-Algerian restaurateur Mazouz in 1995, Momo is the place to head for good music, fabulous food, gorgeous surroundings and an all round amazing time.
Consisting of four spaces, Momo offers a restaurant, café, outdoor terrace and basement bar with a disco for when you’re ready to work off your indulgences – trust us, there’ll be many.
On the food front, choose from traditional briouats to fusion dishes like sea-fresh scallops or falafel in saffron sauce. A fan of couscous? Try the chicken… you can’t really say you’ve tasted couscous until you’ve tasted it here.
In the summer, sit on the terrace and order from a range of fabulous cocktails, wine and spirits. Try the ‘Momo Special’, a blend of vodka, fresh mint & ... ‘something else’ – a secret they won’t part with.
From Tuesday to Saturday, Momo DJs spin everything from Soul & Afro sounds to House & Electro. Dance the night away downstairs for a night to remember, with an atmosphere that’s difficult to beat.
