Tatler magazine has a long standing reputation as the glossy for high society types. This, of course, should be indication enough of its good taste and class. Regent Street is of course also regarded as a symbol of such things, therefore it should come as no surprise that Sketch restaurant, bar and art gallery has been singled out for praise in the monthly glossy.
"An experience for all the senses" Tatler exclaim in the widely read magazine, "Think Mies van der Rohe meets Marie Antoinette meets Miss Haversham."
Sketch are on something of a roll at the moment, recently being awarded the accolade of 'Best Loos'. The nationwide survey, carried out by toptable.co.uk, also praised Sketch for its 'magical ambience', naming the venue first runner up in this category.
Such 'magical ambience' did not go unnoticed by Tatler either, describing Sketch as "hip and hilarious, frequented by the most delicious boys and girls".
An art gallery by day and restaurant by night, Tatler gave praise to the cusine, declaring it to be "pure dynamite", whilst the decor was described as "shanghai art-deco revival", before pointing out how perfectly the backdrop complemented chef Gagnaire's extraordinary cooking.
Gorgeous food, gorgeous venue and even gorgeous clientele. Mmm, now that's certainly worth a look...
