About The Club Bar & Dining
The Club Bar & Dining, a new restaurant and bar, is open for business on Warwick Street, W1, on the site formerly occupied by The Sugar Club and The Grocer of Warwick.
The Club Bar & Dining comprises an informal bar and dining room on the ground floor, and a downstairs cocktail lounge bar. An intimate space in the heart of Soho, The Club Bar & Dining is open throughout the day for late breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks everyday from 10.30am.
On the ground floor, The Club Bar & Dining offers all day dining in brasserie style and atmosphere. Richard Turner, consultant chef and his staff operates an open kitchen creating a ‘chef’s table’ feel. Diners are also invited to sit at the counter if preferred.
Downstairs, the bar offers a cocktail and Champagne list to rival many in London as well as a bar food menu to cater for those that might fancy something less substantial, all available by waitress service. Ben Haylock, formerly head barman at The Soho Hotel, heads up operations in the cocktail bar. An extensive and varied cocktail list has been created by manager Joel Thomas which includes his signature cocktail The Clubtini (Wyborowa pear vodka, poached pears dash of oregeat and topped with Moet Rose).
The menu features everything from light salads to serious roasts and is broken up into sections such as Seafood & Raw Bar; Warm Breads; Small Plates; Salads; Sandwiches; Steak; Fish; Fowl; and Desserts. The menu will incorporate the very best in seasonal meat, fish, game and vegetables. Typical dishes on the a la carte menu includes; Grilled Sea Scallops with Bacon and Pea Purée; Crispy Duck Salad with White Beans and Roast Peppers; Iced Shellfish Platter with Crab, Lobster, Oysters and Prawns; Lobster Club Sandwich; Brioche Soldiers with Soft-Boiled Egg and Celery Salt; and Soft Shell Crab Po Boy with Home Fries. A fully garnished whole roast free-range chicken, guinea fowl or duck, is also available to share between four people.
A concise but varied international wine list has been assembled by Toby Mason of Heritage Wines that ranges from the £12 house wine (Cuvée d’Etoiles blanc or rouge, Vin de Pays de l’Hérault, France 2005) to the Chateau Mouton Rothschild, 1er Cru Pauillac, 1997 at £220 per bottle, catering for all budgets and tastes. The Champagne list consists of a list of eight marques starting at £28 per bottle and £5.20 per glass. Beer will be available on draught as well as in bottles, with varieties including San Miguel, Kronenbourg 1664 and Tiger.
Features on the ground floor include exposed brick walls, mirrors, block wood tables with candelabra, banquette seating in the dining area as well as high tables, stools, chairs, and a long bar. Taking influence from hotel bars and with an emphasis on comfort, the downstairs bar is extravagant yet loungy with deep colours, wooden flooring, a fire place, armchairs, with floral wall patterns and spot lighting.
For group bookings The Club Bar & Dining is the perfect venue, whether straight from the office or for special occasions from 4 to 200 there is an area available.
