Madness came to Regent Street on Sunday 27 September 2009, in more ways than one.

The annual Regent Street Festival this year celebrated Absolute Radio's 1st Birthday, with a ground breaking gig by Madness the culmination of another fabulous day on Regent Street.

A live Desigual fashion show, ferris wheel, a carousel, birthday cupcakes, not to mention half naked Calvin Klein models, could all be enjoyed throughout the day on the street.

And on the main stage, the Absolute Radio celebrations took place in the form of musical entertainment from the likes of Newton Faulkner, the Yeah You's and Jersey Budd.

As night fell, the headline act, musical legend Madness took to the stage, treating revellers to what national newspapaer The Sun described as 'a storming concert'.
