A New Wave of Sound

October is shaping up to be an exciting time for Bose, with the launch of three new products; the Bose R Computer Music Monitor TM, the Wave Music System DAB radio and the new SoundDock portable system for the ipod.

Due to lauch on October 7, this portable system (with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery) is one of its kind. Unlike most portable systems, it will charge an ipod either when operating on battery power or when plugged in to a wall, with a new infrared remote with features playlist control. Touch sensitive buttons can now be located on the ipod on the unit, which can be hooked up to your computer, CD player or MP3 player with the use of an AUX input jack.

Another amazing product due to launch on the seventh is the new MusicMonitor, designed for listening to music with laptop and desktop computers. It incorporates dual internal opposing passive radiators, a new invention from Bose to deliver deep low notes. The electronic package of the system is integral to how it has achieved its performance and size, with proprietary digital signal processing improving instrument detail and definition at all listening levels.

Finally, there is the Wave Music System-DAB, available in stores now. Reacting to requests for DAB radio from existing customers, Bose produced this product to cater to ever increasing demand. Available only in the UK, the system offers listeners access to 19 national digital radio stations and almost 200 more stations broadcasting regionally and locally. Boasting a number of features, such as MP3 CD’s and FM/AM tuner, the system produces sound using signal processing to improve instrument clarity and definition at all listening levels.

The wave music system, which uses Bose waveguide speaker technology to reproduce low musical notes without increasing the size of the unit, has been a great success since its launch two years ago and the same is expected for the same for the DAB version. Easy to set up and simple to use, listeners can browse Band III DAB programs using the systems remote control that also works the CD’s and FM/AM radio. Those existing customers awaiting the this product can buy the DAB stand alone unit for a lower introductory price.

To hear the clearest sound around, pop into the Regent Street store today for a demonstration.
