GIVe and Take

Take away a few hot new looks for autumn this October, with the opening of the latest fashion brand to hit the high street... and more importantly, Regent Street.

Chosen as the ideal location for the latest venture from affordable fashion maverick George Davies, Regent Street welcomed GIVe onto the curve on 1 October 2009.

Davies, the creative brain behind success stories such as Next, George at Asda and Per Una for Marks and Spencer, put £20 million of his own money into GIVe, proof of his belief in the 'affordable luxury' the brand promises to provide.

Further proof of Davies belief in GIVe is his plans to give 5-10% of all profits to charity (hence the brand name), meaning recession or not, GIVe looks set to be a place one can shop, without the guilty conscience...

As well as the aim to give to charity, GIVe is slightly different to many high street stores in other key ways. For example, there is only one size on display at all times, with Davies preferring that the customer see the item, as opposed to 'all the stock'. Further sizes are hidden behind the walls, all accessible to the customer. "A bit like built in wardrobes at home" Davies explains.

Another difference that shoppers will no doubt love, is the unhemmed trousers on offer, complete with in store tailoring to ensure you always walk away with the perfect length.

With all this on offer, Davies may be the one who wants to GIVe... but the Regent Street shopper will no doubt be happy to take.
