The first Gap store was opened in 1969 by husband and wife team Don and Doris Fisher, with the idea to simply make it easier for people to buy jeans that fit.
Fast forward almost forty years and Gap is now one of the most internationally recognisable brands, with 3,100 stores worldwide. The company expanded with Gap Kids opened in 1986, with Baby Gap following in the nineties, proof of the popularity of the brand.
Today, Gap provides both trendy and classic fashion for all ages. Stiil sticking to the original vision of Fisher in providing jeans aplenty for children, today, Gap is also the first stop shop for everything from school uniform type essentials to stylish, durable, fun fashions.
