Summer 2006 will forever be remembered as the year of the boho trend. Following the endless days of billowing tiered skirts, coin belts and fake fur gilets, the switch to sixties fashions that autumn was a clear indication that our hippy days were behind us for good. Or so we thought…
Kate Moss, the original inspiration for boho chic and the first to shun the look, is going ‘back to boho’ for her spring/summer Topshop collection. In what may well be her most stunning collection yet for the fashion mecca, Britain’s number one style icon has put together a collection of beautifully wearable pieces, each with her own stamp of style.
Last time around, the 'hippy' or 'gypsy' look were the inspiration for the boho trend, with floor length floral print dress, tiered skirts and low slung belts. This season, inspiration comes from the bohemian traveler, referencing Ibiza, Miami and India.
Using delicate floral prints, star patterns, sequins and silks, styles range between maxi dresses, short chiffon tea dresses, signature Kate hot pants and gladiator style sandals. At RSO, the scarf print dress is our favourite... So unique, we may even give Kate herself a run for her money in the style stakes. Maybe.
