Hamleys has refurbished its flagship store in the heart of Regent Street, with more than ever to attract children in store than ever before.

With the store approaching its 250th landmark birthday celebrations, the new introductions to the store are part of a three year plan to create an entirely new look Hamleys, especially for the occasion.

Among the enticing new features is the Hamleys Bear Park - a mini replica of Regents Park, showcasing the many different types of bears on sale. In addition, visitors will discover a full size traditional puppet theatre, a 20ft London bus taking pride of place in the centre of the ground floor and a safari park made up of soft animals (including the baby elephant variety) in which children can play... or purchase the toys themselves in order to create their own at home safari!

An 8ft, life sized Speed Racer car, a replica of that featured in the latest Disney movie is also in store. However it may be difficult to take a spin as it is currently suspended from a glittering ceiling.

Many new areas have opened within the store as a result of this recent refurbishment. There is now a Hamleys Party Penthouse (including separate party room) which is available for both private and corporate hire.

There is also a new restaurant on the fifth floor. The Regal Tea Cafe not only boasts a full range of beverages with organic meals and snacks, but a chandelier made up entirely of tea cups and spoons, creating quite the spectacle.

Leave your children in the 'Crazy Cooks Station' where they can enjoy making their own pizzas or fajitas, or in the ice cream parlour where they can also make their own sundaes... however elaborate and unique the creations!

Set to go from strength to strength in store, with plans for a new girls area and a revamped pre-school games floor... Hamleys looks certain to maintain its reputation as the number one store for children... demonstrating precisely why it has remained so for 250 years, and many more to come!
