Out of the Blue

Aquascutum seem to be feeling blue this spring - hopefully not in anticipation of the some than warm weather coming our way!

But... if the weather doesn't (or should that be 'does') live up to our expectations this year, then at least we can take comfort in the fabulous fashion available in store soon.

Funky florals, midnight shades and swinging skirts seem to be the inspiration behind the new collection from the Regent Street superbrand. Fronted by non other than supermodel Gisele Bundchen, the long standing British designer heavyweight has enjoyed something of a resurgence of success in recent years, with Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue now stocking the label, significantly upping its presence Stateside.

The new collection is flirty and classic in an extremely feminine way. Intricate floral designs  adorn light blue fifties style shifts and darker detailed trench coats, with a hint at Victorian style. Sexy chiffon dresses bring together many different hues, while swinging cuts are reminiscent of eighties fashions, a nod towards the Aquascutum Vintage collection perhaps...

It's not all blue this season, with the odd white dress thrown in for good measure. Over all, the collection has an angelic innocence. Clothes are meant to be a reflection of a person's personality... So if you think those two words sum you up, head to Aquascutum as soon as you feel spring in the air...

On second thoughts, judging by the British weather, this could take a while, so simply pop in store.
