After all the excitement and mayhem that the launch of the iPhone brought back in November, one might have thought that it would be a while before anyone would want to replace theirs. It was said to be the phone that revolutionised phones… and it did. Skip forward to July 2008 however, and the world of mobile phones is apparently gearing up to be revolutionised once more. The competition? The iPhone take two. Otherwise known, as the iPhone 3G.
Launching this coming July, the iPhone 3G, you’ve probably guessed, has fast 3G wireless technology, not to mention GPS mapping. Still complete with built in iPod (8GB and 16GB available), the new iPhone also boasts support for enterprise features such as Microsoft Exchange, as well as a breakthrough timeline device with rich HTML email and a ‘desktop-class’ web browser.
The ‘usual’ features remain, such as iTunes, You Tube, Calendar, Stocks and Weather Note, plus Photos and Camera, as well as the new feature ‘App Store’ where you can download innovative applications for your iPhone, just in case there isn’t enough to keep you busy…
Launching July 11, pop to The Apple Store or see www.apple.com for more details.
