Servicing Strategy - Executive Summary

Aim

• to meet the delivery requirements of existing properties and potential new developments in the Regent Street area
• to give consideration to the policies and strategies of Westminster City Council and the Mayor of London, with regard to servicing

Strategy

• minimise the number of servicing vehicles (particularly articulated vehicles) using Regent Street
• encourage tenants to use the smaller service vehicle types consistent with their needs
• where feasible provide off street servicing bays as part of new developments
• where on-street servicing is unavoidable promote the use of side streets rather than Regent Street
• identify alternative routes for service vehicles that avoid (where possible) routing along Regent Street
• consider restricting servicing to specific time periods (for example, before 10am)
• provide a central off-site delivery point
