On the eve of the Wembley contest between the New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins, Regent Street became a traffic-free haven for American football fans and families alike, featuring interactive games, on-stage performances and appearances, giveaways and much more.
From midday to 6pm, the street played host to a colourful festival of football, full of things to do and see. Shoppers were invited to head to the NFL Lab to see how they measured up against the pros; testing how far they can throw the ball or kick a field goal. Meanwhile on the main stage, throughout the day there was interviews with NFL legends, live music acts and a performance by the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders.
The highlight of the event however, was the arrival pf coaches and players from the two teams, with appearances by star players such as Saints quarterback Drew Brees and, of course, London’s own Pro Bowl running back, Jay Ajayi of the Dolphins.
