This July, every Sunday from 12-6pm, we are thrilled to welcome the return of our annual traffic-free Summer Streets events for its landmark fifth year.

Kicking off this weekend, every Sunday from 2nd – 23rd July, will see Regent Street become pedestrianised from Oxford Circus all the way to Piccadilly Circus, offering the chance for Londoners and visitors alike to relax, unwind and enjoy a fantastic range of entertainment and activities along the street - entirely for free!

Following the huge success of last year, we will be combining the themes of culture, style, wellness plus food & drink to create our biggest and boldest lifestyle festival yet, right in the heart of the capital.

Arriving to Regent Street for the first time ever as part of the celebrations, will be our very own Summer Streets’ Food Quarter; a pop-up food market, bringing together a selection of the best drinking and dining destinations across Regent Street and St James’. Indulge in towering steak sandwiches from Gaucho, oozing short rib burgers at Heddon Street Kitchen and fragrant chicken biryanis from Masala Zone, to name just a few. For those with a sweet tooth, cool off with a selection of ice creams from authentic Italian Piccolino or typically British strawberries and cream.

Live music will be filling the streets once again in our dedicated entertainment zones. This year’s summer soundtrack includes the Brazilian Samba, Military Brass, Klezmer trio and a Notting Hill steel band.

For families, there’s more street-wide activity, pop-ups and workshops than ever, to keep both the little ones and grown-ups entertained.

Explore the Hive Hub & Maze; a living wildlife maze decorated with beautiful birds, bees and butterflies, designed to teach you all about the wildlife and gardens of Regent Street. Gather clues and facts as you delve deeper into the maze and meet characters including Mr Bumble, Queen Bee and Lady Lavender. You can even make your very own bug hotel to take home and keep as a momento of the day.

Meanwhile, courtesy of Universal Pictures, the much loved characters Gru, Dru and a few naughty Minions from Despicable Me 3 will also be heading to Regent Street. Their Gru Mobile will be offering mum and dad complimentary wifi and phone charging stations too, for all those inevitable minion selfies.

Looking for a sense of Zen amongst the festive crowds? Check out lululemon’s double decker ‘meditation bus’ offering some complimentary calm to shoppers, whilst Kiehl’swill be on hand for mini-pampering sessions and skin consultations. Alternatively, power up with lululemon’s exclusive high intensity workout sessions in partnership with Psycleand Third Space over the course of the month. Kettle Bell, Meta Burn and The Method Classes at 12pm, 2pm, 3pm, 5pm, will involve a mix of upper and lower body exercises combined with cardio intervals as well as conditioning workouts designed to sculpt and tone. Burn it and firm to get your heart racing and blood pumping.

Alongside all of these amazing traffic-free events, many of our stores will also be providing shoppers with complimentary drinks and nibbles whilst browsing the rails, plus workshops, giveaways and exclusive offers to celebrate the start of summer. Look out for limited edition cocktails and menus also on offer from our restaurants and bars (we’re coveting the alcoholic desserts at aqua).
