The famous curve of Regent Street is wholly owned by one organisation, The Crown Estate. It is managed by The Crown Estate, who are responsible for its long-term stewardship, maintaining and improving its quality. The net revenue of The Crown Estate is paid to the Exchequer for the ultimate benefit of the taxpayer.

History and conservation In 2002 a study into the history and conservation of Regent Street was undertaken. The research examines the architectural history of Regent Street from 1800 to date.

Regent Street Timeline Regent Street was designed by the architect John Nash in 1811, since this time there has been much activity from Café Royal to its redesign which completed in 1927.
