How did Regent Street, London’s finest and most elegant street with the greatest architectural curve in town become even more tempting as a summer destination? The answer? It was turned into a traffic-free open and greener space full of pop up entertainment and inspiration, besides the best shopping and dining for all ages. Summer Streets returned for the fourth successful year, every Sunday in July, each with a different theme, Garden Party, Health Kick, Fashion Festival and Culture Club. There was something for everyone including performances from the city’s hottest new music talent competing to win the Mayor of London’s GIGs, music from Heart London Radio 106.2 and workshops from City Academy.
In true garden party spirit, on Sunday 5 July, Regent Street will have a summer lawn and a sustainable Bee and Butterfly Zone along with a camouflaged Easibug car plus much more.
Coinciding with The British 10K London Run powering through the street, Sunday 12 July is Health and Fitness day. Cheer on the 10k runners and test out your rugby skills with the Harlequins rugby team.
Sunday 19 July is for discerning Fashionistas with a 50m pop-up catwalk showing some of the most innovative designs from Regent Street’s premium retailers. Be sure to dress to impress.
The final traffic free celebrates Regent Street’s Arts and Culture, so pop down to take a look at the live art installations and enjoy the sustainable bee and butterfly zone.
