BOTTLETOP, the London-based sustainable accessories label, has been announced as the official bag partner for this year’s BAFTA Awards. To honour this milestone, BOTTLETOP are hosting a public event in store this Thursday from 6pm, providing a first-look at the unique design created for each of the 350 nominees of this year’s awards.
Purveyors of sustainability, BOTTLETOP pride themselves on blending rare production techniques from different cultures with elevated design and the finest sustainably sourced materials. Together they have partnered with artisans in Bali to create unique, handwoven and handcrafted leather goods with history and meaning, by re-interpreting time-honoured skills and generating livelihoods for existing and future artisans in Indonesia. The prized BAFTA tote is no exception, created using Balinese pandan leaves, which are first dried in the sun, hand cut to size and then meticulously handwoven before being individually tailored into this special edition tote. With the creation of each design supporting artisans in Bali and their trade going forward, BOTTLETOP truly are sustainability at its best!
