The annual Motor Show will return to Regent Show with a new theme inspired by the iconic Route 66
Engines at the ready: on Saturday 3rd November, Regent Street will be pedestrianised to make way for the annual Motor Show. Rather excitingly, the theme of this year’s showcase will be centred on America’s high profile Route 66.
Route 66 begins in Illinois and the Motor Show will be paying homage to one of the world’s best-loved roads. Elements of Route 66 – such as the globally recognised signs and vintage cars - will be available for you to discover along Regent Street’s curve. There will also be over 125 years of motoring prowess completely free for you to get to grips with – whether veteran, vintage, classic or modern-day cars are your area of interest.
Among this year’s displays will be more than 100 horseless carriages from the turn of the 20th century taking part in the annual Veteran Car Concours, many of which will be transporting drivers and passengers in period dress.
As always, there will be plenty of family friendly entertainment and acvities to enjoy throguhout the day, which takes place from 10.30 - 4.30pm. The Kids Zone will include a karting track, Scalectric and a version of the DeLorean ‘time machine’ from the cult film Back to the Future.
