With many great things to come to Regent Street in 2019, keep reading to discover just a taste of what you can expect.
Regent Street's 200th Anniversary
2019 marks the 200th Anniversary of the naming of Regent Street and we’re looking forward to celebrating in style throughout the year. We are proud of our heritage as the world’s first shopping street, and to mark the momentous occasion we’re working on a number of activities that will take place along the length of the street, with our stores, restaurants, hotels and guest partnerships.
We hope that Londoners and visitors alike will join us in marking this special year – so make sure you keep checking this page for further details.
In 2019 we will be welcoming a number of leading global brands to the street. One of the most eagerly anticipated openings is Microsoft, set to open a flagship later in the year.
Recently opened are: Regent Street’s second Parisian offering, Sandro, which already carries the full collection of women’s fashion and accessories and will be welcoming its men’s collection in due course; as well as H&M Home Concept Store - with an in-store cafe It's Pleat. Adding to the foodie oasis of Heddon Street is healthy offering Little Green, offering art, food and coffee together with huge statement art pieces by UK artists Bonnie and Clyde and Grazie.
The start of 2019 began with all things wellness – to help you to start the New Year feeling your best self. This moved into an arts & culture dedicated series of events and activities - including Show in the Dark - hitting the street before spring was in full swing.
This summer, we will see the return of our favourite events such as traffic-free Sundays in July, August and September as part of our Summer Streets series. September is always a month to look forward to, as we host incredible talks, workshops and more to highlight the breadth of fashion and design in the heart of the West End.
As always, the end of the year will see the return of the festive season, with our iconic Christmas lights returning and a host of special Christmas activities happening across the street. With last year boasting the talented British singer Calum Scott, Doctor Who icon Jodie Whittaker and the stunning voices of the cast of Dreamgirls, it’s definitely a date to hold in your diaries.
