This summer, we’re inviting you to take a stroll through central London, with one very noticeable, colourful difference.
Marking the start of the ‘Art of London’ season, the West End has been transformed into a public gallery without walls. Five Royal Academy artists have created bespoke, vibrant art works which will appear on Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus and the surrounding streets until the end of August. You’re invited to soak up the colourful canvas of the West End as you stroll under 30 fabulous flags and wander across 13 striking street crossings in the largest art takeover of its kind.
Continue exploring by visiting one of a plethora of pop-up exhibitions or even follow an augmented reality art trail. For a big screen experience, dwell a little longer in Piccadilly Circus to catch one of the art takeovers ofthe Piccadilly Lights An arty afternoon well spent in central London.
Art of London is a series of public art initiatives, open to all, and brought to you as a unique partnership between Sky Arts, Piccadilly Lights, Westminster City Council, Heart of London Business Alliance and The Mayor of London.
