With Heddon Street loved as a hidden hub of culinary prowess, foodies will be pleased to hear a new restaurant has joined its ranks. Pacific, the first solo venture from award-winning Australian chef Shaun Presland, is now serving Japanese cuisine with an Aussie twist.
Shaun Presland has brought his 25 years of experience to the heart of London. Known for his critically-acclaimed Japanese cooking, Shaun is the mastermind behind Pacific’s fresh fish and seafood dominated dishes, with produce sourced from both UK waters and the South East Pacific (hence the restaurant’s namesake). The menu also boasts a strong selection of delicious meat and vegetable dishes, offering variety for all to enjoy.
Pacific’s flavours offer Australian-influenced Japanese combinations, such as the Bondi roll - Tokyo turnip wrapped assorted sashimi, avocado, chive and house soy, Wagyu steak - Robata grilled with BBQ dressing and wasabi chimichurri dipping sauces, and Kimchi Brussel sprouts - crispy seasonal sprouts, spicy Korean inspired vinaigrette, edamame beans and lime. It’s an unmissable menu.
The relaxed interior draws inspiration from the ocean, with deep turquoise walls, calming lighting to mirror sunrise and sunset and stripped wooden tables. The space is versatile, offering both a chilled space for those seeking daytime dining and a livelier atmosphere for the evening crowd.
Pacific will be hosting a four-month long residency on Heddon Street, the side street just off of Regent Street. Joining the likes of Michelin starred Sabor, vegetarian tibits, Moroccan stalwart Momo’s (and the quirky sister spot, Mo Diner) Pacific has taken over the spot recently left behind by 10 Heddon Street.
