Magpie’s vegan set menu is definitely worth a visit. Offering the likes of a rich mushroom broth of turnip and kohlrabi, followed by charred January King cabbage with roasted yeast, chickpeas, roast pumpkin seeds and barbecued spring onion, and a dessert of coconut milk rice pudding with mango, makrut lime and toasted coconut.
Prices start from £16 for 2 courses.
Stem’s vegan tasting menu is a lunch time special that will please the crowd. Featuring an array of dishes such as radish with wasabi and parsley, charred calcot onions and monk’s beard, and grilled brassicas with spelt and truffle, the end is a sweet treat with cranberry ice followed by a chocolate mousse and pear sorbet.
The tasting menu is £60 per person, with an additional £40 for drinks pairing.
Heddon Street Kitchen
Offering a vegan menu until the 13th February, Heddon Street Kitchen has created dishes to replenish your body. Start with a superfood salad served with avocado, kale, cucumber and nuts, before enjoying mains such as soba noodles with grilled tofu, watercress, red cabbage and ponzu dressing. Dessert is a healthy treat, with the pineapple carpaccio highly recommended.
