Fashionistas are tipping customised denim to be this season’s must-have when updating your wardrobe, with carefully curated looks from frays to patches, seen on the runways of Caine, Ashish, Marques' Almeida, Saint Laurent, Aries and the Rihanna x Manolo-Blahnik collaboration to name a few.
Always on hand to keep you ahead of the fashpack, for one weekend only Regent Street invited standout designers from Ashley Williams to Clio Peppiatt, to station themselves at selected stores and personally customise shoppers' denim.
After purchasing their denim apparel from Anthropologie, GAP or Uniqlo, each shopper had a personal mini consultation with the designer, who then created a unique, bespoke design to transform their denim.
Designer Ashley Williams kicked things off on Saturday 24th September, settling down at Anthropologie, where she created a bespoke pair of urban patched jeans for singer songer writer Mali Koa and streetwear stylist India-Rose, along with frayed and patched denim for shoppers.
Meanwhile Cats Brothers took over the sewing machines at Uniqlo for an outrageously fun pair of ‘pom pom’ lined jeans for blogger Chloe Miles, whilst shoppers were queuing up to get some bespoke tassels and embroidered lettering on the denim buys!
On Sunday 25th September, Phiney Pet stopped off at Anthropologie, where she delighted shoppers with her bold, fun designs from the adorable pet sausage dog portrait for Fashion Mumblr’s Josie LDN , to a hand-painted scene of paradise on a shoppers’ denim jacket.
Clio Peppiatt spent the day at GAP creating an array of bespoke designs, including our favourite of the weekend - an adorable denim jacket and matching skirt for ‘Harris’ - the trendiest tot on Regent Street.
With thanks to all our featured designers from the weekend's event, Ashley Williams, Cats Brothers, Phiney Pet and Clio Peppiatt.
