2019 is a momentous year: marking the 200th Anniversary since the naming of Regent Street. To celebrate our bicentenary, an array of destinations that call the area home have curated a special edit of gifts and experiences to pay homage to the occasion. Alongside our global flagships and firsts for London, these will be available on Regent Street’s ‘Mile of Style’ only. Read on to discover more.
Moyses Stevens, Regent Street Anniversary Bouquet
Luxury florists since 1876, Moyses Stevens are experts in all things floral. As a tribute to Regent Street’s heritage, they’ve created a bouquet filed with some of the British public's favourite flowers, together with fresh Dartmoor foliage. The result is a stunning lively combination of gorgeous peonies, pink & blue hydrangeas, allium and clematis – that reflects the longevity and dynamism of the capital's most famous shopping street.
Ristorante Frescobaldi’s ‘My Regent’ Cocktail
A new addition to the cocktail menu, ‘My Regent’ is fresh and smart - just like Regent Street. Created to celebrate this special occasion, the refreshing cocktail is sure to be a summer favourite. The flavours are inspired by Regent Street's variety and sophistication – with a refreshing fruit base and St Germain Elderflower Liqueur, along with a surprising spicy note.
Brasserie Zedel’s ‘The Prince Regent’ Cocktail
Brasserie Zedel will be paying homage to George IV – the Prince Regent at the time of the street’s opening in 1819, and whom the street is named after. With legend being that the Prince was particularly fond of the healing Cistus Incanus plant, in tribute to this, Bar American’s celebratory cocktail is a twist on a classic El Presidente. The result is an aromatic yet perfectly balanced reimagining of an old favourite, with Rum, Dry & Sweet Vermouth brought to life with a splash of homemade Grenadine and served in a champagne saucer.
With Regent Street set in the heart of Central London, we’re proud of our heritage as a pioneering cultural destination – offering a wealth of shopping, wellness, drinking, and dining options for Londoners and visitors alike.
