1. Artesian

Voted 'World's Best Bar' for four consecutive years by Drinks International, Artesian is a must-visit for cocktail connoisseurs. At the forefront of innovation in mixology, Artesian is passionate about pushing boundaries and offers a unique array of cocktails that you won't find anywhere else in London. Alongside its classics, is an 'Ingredients of the Future' menu with 16 drinks which celebrate a single ingredient. Superfoods like sweet potato and kombu are given their moment but more adventurous gastronomes may be enticed by its Insect cocktail - a bold mix of Bourbon, Campari, Nixta and crickets and ants, alongside flavours of corn, coffee and lime.

2. Aqua Spirit, Aqua Kyoto & Aqua Nueva

Stylish and sophisticated, if you're looking for something a little bit special, Aqua Spirit is the place to be. Boasting open-air rooftop views, offering a menu of iconic classics and plenty of champagne, it is a true spectacle. Meanwhile, neighbouring Aqua Nueva offer an extravagant array of Spanish-inspired cocktails whereas Aqua Kyoto, are serving the capital's most innovative Japanese fusion cocktails. 3. Bar Américain in Brasserie Zédel

In the basement of much-loved restaurant Brasserie Zédel, is a classic American bar featuring a stunning Art-Deco design that oozes glamour. Offering a succinct list of classic cocktails and what is thought to be the best selection of American whiskey in the UK, it's a sophisticated, crowd-pleaser that's great for a night out with friends.

4. Cicchetti Bar

An elegant bar hidden beneath Piccolino, Cicchetti serves lighter dishes of Venetian tapas and celebrates the 'aperitivo' hours with an extensive bar menu of cocktails, spirits and fragrant wines. Alongside the usual classics with an Italian twist are some new creations like our favourite, the 'Hazelnut Espresso Martini' which is guaranteed to keep you dancing all night. Teetotal? Try the 'Born-Again Porn Star' with non-alcoholic prosecco.

5. Colony Room Green

Step back in time at the Colony Room Green underneath Ziggy Green on Heddon Street. In homage to the original Colony Room Club, a private members club for artists and bohemians from 1948-2008, you can sip on drinks at 2008 prices and enjoy live piano music every Wednesday-Saturday from 7:30pm-10:00pm.

6. The Green Room in Casa do Frango

Visit Casa do Frango for a taste of the Portuguese palate and visit its speakeasy cocktail bar downstairs, The Green Room, open from Wednesdays - Saturday in the evenings. The Green Room is the perfect spot to settle into for the evening to sip away on creative concoctions paired with perfect Algarvian-flavoured nibbles.

7. The Green Bar in Hotel Café Royal

Inspired by the Hotel Café Royal Cocktail Book from the 30s, The Green Bar is best known for its beautiful signature collection of botanicals and tonics. Sit back and enjoy live jazz on Friday and Saturday nights as you sip on one of the best G&Ts you’ll ever have.

8. Heddon Street Kitchen & Hidden Heddon

Pull up a seat at Gordon Ramsay's Heddon Street Kitchen and choose from a generous selection spirits and liqueurs alongside beers, wines and HSK signature cocktails and non-alcoholic cocktails. From a post-shop nibble to an after-work tipple, Heddon Street Kitchen and underground Hidden Heddon are a must-visit.

9. Heddon Yokocho

Do you prefer sake chilled, at room temperature or warm? Find out and sample three fragrant sakes with a sake flight at Heddon Yokocho. Or if beer is more to your taste, sip Asahi or Kirin Nama Draft. The braver hearted among you may want to try the plum wines or potent Shochu selection.

10. The Nest in Treehouse

Perch high above the street at The Nest, Treehouse Hotel's rooftop bar with 360-degree skyline views of London. From Midday Tipples to its Night Caps menu and classic cocktails, The Nest also has a wide selection of wines and beers. Fly by between Thursday - Saturday for DJ sets and guaranteed good times.
