The brainchild of the team behind The Langham, London’s award-winning Artesian bar, it’s the latest offering to join the hotel’s myriad of popular bars and restaurants, including Palm Court and the Landau restaurant, both overseen by culinary masters Michel Roux Jr and Albert Roux OBE.
Inspired by the great British public houses of the past, expect cask ales, house “hoptails”, cups of punch and craft beers, including The Wigmore’s very own house Saison brewed in partnership with Bermondsey’s ‘Brew By Numbers’.
The legendary Michel Roux Jr is also guiding the kitchen with a menu of hearty British fare that nods to timeless recipes and long-forgotten favourites. Highlights include braised rich veal and ham pie, devilled lamb’s kidneys and paprika-glazed short rib with a melt-in-the-mouth bone marrow crumb.
Described as classically British with a touch of luxurious elegance, The Wigmore is an ideal drinking and dining spot, whether for after-work or socialising with friends on the weekend.
