About Michael Caines

Michael Caines MBE is one of the UK’s most celebrated chefs, with a career spanning over three decades. He held two Michelin stars for more than 18 years and is the visionary behind Lympstone Manor, his luxury country house hotel and vineyard on the Devon coast.

Lympstone Manor has earned a Michelin star, two Michelin Keys and five AA Rosettes. It is a proud member of the Relais & Châteaux, with Michael head of the UK and Ireland delegation and on the World Council.

Michael’s influence on modern British cuisine is profound. Beyond his culinary accolades, he is widely respected for mentoring young talent, championing sustainability in hospitality, and crafting experiences that are personal, precise, and full of heart.
