If you’re looking to fall in love with self-care for 2026, you just found your new favourite place.

There’s an impressive newcomer on London’s Pilates scene, and we’re incredibly excited to introduce you. Aligné Studio on Great Portland Street takes a modern, mindful approach to movement, offering group classes, personal training, and one of the city’s first infrared mat Pilates experiences. We chatted with Aligné’s two female founders, Justine Brochard and Amanda Hendrick, to get a sense of what the studio is all about, as well as what’s in store for 2026.

How was Aligné Studio born?

After many years working separately in the wellness and fitness industry, Amanda and Justine’s paths crossed during their Pilates teacher training in 2022. They soon connected over their shared goal of building a studio with a refined yet welcoming feel, where people are genuinely cared for.

Justine and Amanda explain: “Aligné was born from a desire to create a space where Pilates is taught with true intention, focusing on quality, longevity, and feeling better in your body, not just moving through a workout.

“Precision, mindfulness, excellence and community felt like the natural pillars of how we teach and how we wanted the studio to operate.

Precision speaks to our technical focus and attention to detail; mindfulness to moving with intention and awareness; excellence to the standard of teaching, space and service; and community because connection and belonging are just as important as movement.”

What sets Aligné apart from other studios?

Technique-led and intentionally small, classes at Aligné are kept intimate so instructors can give hands-on corrections and real guidance.

“We’re less about rushing through choreography and more about long-term strength, alignment and results”, tells Justine.

Many clients tell us it’s the first time they truly understand how to move correctly in Pilates.

She adds: “Clients can expect a calm, focused environment, highly attentive instructors and a challenging but thoughtful class. Whether it’s reformer, tower or infrared mat Pilates, every session is designed to help you move better, feel stronger and leave you feeling grounded.”

How did you choose Aligné’s new home?

“The neighbourhood felt like a perfect fit - it has a strong sense of community and attracts people who value quality, wellbeing and consistency. Being slightly tucked away from the buzz of Regent Street also allows Aligné to feel like a calm sanctuary from the pace of central London.

What are your 2026 wellness goals?

As January shifts focus towards reset, recovery and sustainable routines, Justine and Amanda tell us how this shapes their own priorities:

“We’re continuing to build out our recovery offering alongside Pilates, leaning into longevity and nervous system support rather than just high-intensity movement.

“Outside of Pilates, we prioritise walking, strength training, good sleep and recovery practices like infrared therapy.

“We believe in balance - wellness should support your life, with movement and self-care the highlight of your day.”

Aligné’s goal is simple - to help people feel better in their bodies and more connected to themselves. If this is the kind of wellness habit you’re looking to build this year, find out more information on their website and sign up to a class to try it out for yourself.
