If your plans tend to revolve around your dog, you’re in good company. London is filled with dog-friendly destinations to enjoy together, so there’s no need to worry about leaving them at home this summer.
With so many of us adding a four-legged friend into the fold in recent years, the city has adapted with many establishments ready to welcome you and your dog. While guide dogs are invited everywhere on Regent Street, our roundup covers all the places to spend a London day out with any canine companion.
Dog-Friendly Restaurants in London
Brasserie Zedel
Experience Parisian café culture at Brasserie Zedel's ground floor café. Take a table on the terrace and let your pet enjoy watching the world go by or settle down inside with a glass of wine and something from the bistro menu.
Gaucho Piccadilly
For when your furry friend is better at resisting a good steak than you are… Dogs are welcome to join guests at Gaucho from 12-6pm every day in its main area. Will you have enough restraint to request a doggy bag?
Heddon Street Kitchen
Whether you're looking for a shopping pit-stop, or spot for a leisurely meal with loved ones, Heddon Street's restaurants should be high on your list. Gordon Ramsay's Heddon Street Kitchen terrace is one of our go-to spots for dining with small dogs in central London.
Cakes & Bubbles
Let your four-legged friend bask in the sunshine on Cakes & Bubbles’ outdoor terrace as you tuck into a sweet treat from chef Albert Adrià’s menu. Located at Hotel Café Royal on Regent Street itself, this might just be the ultimate spot for people - and dog - watching.
The George
A good pub in central London can be hard to find, but we've done the hard work for you. Look no further than iconic 18th century establishment, The George on Great Portland Street for a place to get a pint in with your best friend.
Dog friendly hotels
Hotel Café Royal
Hotel Café Royal offers a five-star experience for all its guests. Expect beds and accessories from luxury pet outfitter Mungo & Maud, with dogs up to 12kg allowed everywhere except its spa.
Treehouse Hotel London
The team at Treehouse Hotel are ready to recommend the best places for a dog walk, top grooming salons and more – just ask their 'Furry fun finders'. Dogs are also able to join their owners on the woof at The Nest bar, with a special dog-friendly menu that is sure to get their tails wagging.
DUKES Hotel & Bar
With a sausage dog for a mascot, your pooch will be in good company at DUKES. Though the hotel itself is currently closed for refurbishment, DUKES is especially popular with anyone seeking a dog-friendly getaway, with daily dog treats, gourmet meals and a DUKESY dog toy available for dogs up to 16kg for £25 per night. You can also claw back some time to yourself with 24-hour dog sitting and walking on request. Be sure to keep this one in mind for your future London getaways!
Burn off energy before turning in for the day and explore the best green spaces in Central London together.
